Do you remember your first day of Kindergarten? I do and I even remember what I was wearing and the name tag my teacher had mailed home for me to wear.
While very exciting it can also be scary and a little overwhelming for many children.
This week will be a transition for most students - suddenly we are asking them to sit careful and still for short periods of time, raise their hand to speak, listen to their friends when they speak, and even unpack and repack themselves upon arrival and dismissal. Don't be surpassed if students are sleepy, emotional, fearful, or quiet after school but please do try to engage in conversation about the day.
We need you for the debrief after our day - how is it going? What are they having a hard time with? Are they missing something that we can help with? What do they love about our day?
Keep us in the loop - we are a team embarking on an adventure together!
Question for parents/guardians PLEASE PICK 1 or 2 and answer as long or as short as you feel comfortable:
